Smart Villa – Large Scale Residential Project

Project Overview

KT Consultancy provided comprehensive design and planning consultancy for a large-scale smart villa project with a built-up area exceeding 90,000 sq.ft. The project required a highly structured, resilient, and scalable technology architecture capable of supporting extensive residential spaces, multiple functional zones, and long-term expansion. The consultancy approach focused on system standardization, IP-based backbone design, and seamless integration of automation, AV, security, and communication systems while maintaining architectural aesthetics and ease of operation across the estate.

Scope Of Work

The overall project scope included the design of a high-capacity data network and enterprise-grade Wi-Fi infrastructure, KNX lighting control implemented over an IP backbone, IP Video surveillance, integrated access control including concealed locking solutions for sliding windows, IP telephony, and multi-zone background music in common areas using AirPlay. These systems were designed as a unified ecosystem to ensure reliability, ease of control, and scalability across a large residential estate.

A key highlight of the project was the end-to-end lounge audiovisual and acoustic design. KT Consultancy developed a detailed acoustic treatment strategy, including wall and ceiling acoustic panel design to control reflections, reverberation, and sound dispersion within the lounge space. Speaker selection was carried out based on room volume, seating layout, and intended listening use cases, followed by precise speaker placement to ensure balanced coverage and accurate sound staging. Comprehensive system schematics were prepared covering signal flow, cabling, equipment integration, and future expansion provisions. This focused design approach delivered a refined, immersive audio experience while maintaining visual elegance and seamless integration with the lounge’s interior design.
